-Introdution:  Why I am writing this book

The Three Pillars book is a roadmap to beginning your adult life with purpose and intention.  Where you are in the driver's seat making decisions along the way and avoiding the traps which hold you back from personal growth in your life, relationships and career.

Financial Traps - debts, student loans, car loans, mortgages, shopping habits, lack of savings skills

Personal Traps - low self esteem, lack of direction, beliefs that your career is predetermined (or interminable).  Your job path is locked in based on education (college major) or your parent's desires.

Time Wasting Traps - activities that don't move you forward where you spend an excessive amount of time - social media, streaming videos, video games

Mental Traps - untreated anxiety or mental health issues which hold you back from your best life.

Life traps - A lack of knowledge of careers and personal finance, poor nutrition and unfocused self care, lack of cooking skills, cleaning and caring for your home, and ability to do laundry just to name a few!

The Three Pillars Described:

Pillar One:  Career and Standard of Living, Finances and Personal Budget to the level of prosperity desired.  Success is not measured by financial wealth.  Success is the matching of wealth with a satisfactory standard of living.  Success can be hashtag #vanlife with seasonal job as a ski instructor and social media influencer.  Success can be a one bedroom apartment in a medium size city with a non profit organization job paying $40,000 per year.  Or success can be a four bedroom house in the suburbs, two near-new cars in the garage and a large-company professional position paying $150,000 per year.  There is no one way to define or achieve success.  It's subjective.

Pillar Two:  Nutrition and Cooking, Exercise, Caring for your Health and Home.  Do you know how to make anything better than cereal or instant soup?  Is the majority of your intake from fast food and take out?  When you're not working, is the majority of your time spent binge watching TV shows in bed?  Maybe you never had to do laundry, or clean a bathroom, or vacuum a room.  Pillar two shows you how to take control of your personal health and environment, so not only are you proud when friends stop by to hang out but you can whip up something delicious to eat too, all while feeling fit and terrific.

Pillar Three:  Being kind to others and yourself - kindergarten life lessons that never get old.  This is your place in the community, whether via spirituality or faith, it's caring for yourself and others with compassion.  This is the pillar of your beliefs, values and relationships.

Periodic check ins:  How am I doing?  Giving time for self reflection and owning your thoughts and behavior.
